By representing "the Investment Passport
of Minsk Region" I would like to encourage you to the broad mutually
beneficial cooperation.
Let me from this position represent Minsk region and give a brief description
of its investment potential. This region is one of the most interesting
in Belarus from the point of its attractiveness for investors.
It has a unique transport- and geographical location in respect of
local and foreign markets, a developed transport infrastructure: automobile
roads, railway-road network, main airport of the Republic, oil- and gas
pipes, modern communication facilities.
The region has a powerful productive potential based mostly on usage
of local raw materials. Such industrial gigants and enterprises as "Belaruskaly",
BelAZ, "Borissovdrev", Joint-stock company "Works for Autotractor
electric equipment, Borissov", Public enterprise "MolodechnoMebel",
etc., are widely known in the CIS-countries and abroad. Their staff includes
high-skilled specialists, highly appreciated by our competent foreign partners
employed in foreign and joint enterprises established in the region.
At present we are in the process of intensive negotiations on attracting
the investors to residential building and municipal economy within the
broad-scale "Housing" Program, as well as to other sectors of
economy.
There exists a highly developed agricultural sector which produces
today over 23 % agricultural products in the Republic.
There is a large field of activity for the investors to the expansion
of entertainment and tourism infrastructure.
We are opened for new proposals. Be sure that you will find serious
and reliable partners in Minsk region.
