- The 4th International exhibition and congress on the telecommunication
means, information technologies, bank systems, office equipment TIBO-97
long before their opening attracted attention of specialists and promise
to become a noticeable event in the life of our country.
Economic development of our state in modern world is impossible without
high rate of informatization of all spheres of society and without entering
into world telecommunication and information exchange networks, allowing
to get information from international data banks on economic, scientific,
technical, political and other information as well as to exchange all types
of communications: speech, text, graphic and videoinformation.
Foreign economic activities of Belarusian enterprises is directly connected
with the possibility of prompt receipt of information on state of foreign
markets, technical level and price information on the analogous goods,
placement of information about own production in the world information
networks.
Technical level and competitiveness of the goods of Belarusian enterprises
is as a consequence in many cases determined by the possibility of access
to scientific and technical information data banks, use of automation,
designing and production means.
Creation of modern telecommunication payment systems and entering into
world financial telecommunication systems are vitally important for Belarusian
enterprises.
Entering of the Republic of Belarus as an equal partner into world
information space will contribute to establishing the image of Belarus
as a technically developed country, strengthening its international prestige
and development of foreign economic ties.
The Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations pays great attention to
creation of specialized information and marketing structures, the main
task of which is to provide the information about foreign economic activities
of Belarusian enterprises and present the information about Belarus in
international information networks. We attach great importance to the present
exhibition and the congress as to the effective means of the development
of international cooperation and hope that all participants of the exhibition
will gain desired results and Belarusian industry will get impuls for further
development.
