We are interested in comparing the level of our achievements and abilities in producing telecommu- nicational equipment and development of informational technologies. The matter is that we were leaders in producing informational technologies but in the time which passed after the USSR collapse the sources of investment were lost. We could not master the new design during that time. And today we just compare what we can do with that which has been presented by foreign companies. As far as computer technologies are concerned we successfully compete with foreign companies in software design.We've practically approached the world standard in producing computers. I think that the programme of forcing the foreign production out which was adopted by the government wil be carried out successfully.But we shall have to work a lot , of course, to master the production of means of telecommunications quicker,for we have been working in this direction for 4 years only. Such means were not produced in Belarus before and that is why we are facing difficulties. At the same time we are actively trying to accomplish the requirements of the Telecommunication Ministry as far as the stations for telefonization of rural settings and district telecommiunication points are concerned.We still have a lot of difficulties, and we could not master the production of the city telephone stations yet because we have little time and lack money.

What are your wishes to the exhibition participants?

I would like to mention the active participation of the research and design Computer Institute , HORI ZONT alliance and other enterprises which are actively applying the last sciehtific achievements into production. Iwould like to wish them to compete successfully on any seller's markets including those of Russia and CIS countries.
