Euphrossinia Polotskaya, the daughter
of Vseslav Borislavovich, Price of Polotsk (the 12th century). The young
girl scarified her position and prosperity and became an nun. She devoted
her life to God, copying books and spreading the word of Lord and literacy
in Polotsk Principality. At the end of her life she made a pilgrimage to
Jerusalem, where died in 1173.
