We propose principally new, tecknically approved, patented in a number of countries
String Transport System (STS),
which is a special electromobil, the wheels of which move by the special current-holding, rails-strings.

Short Summery

String elements in the construction are taut till the summar strain of 200-500 tones and are stretched to the total strain of 100...500 tons and rigidly secured to anchored supports placed with the step of 0.5...5 km. Except this, the transport line, having two rails, is upheld in spans by intermediate supports with the step of 20...100 m. depending upon the relief.
The STS route structure requires little materials. For example, the consumption of materials for the one-way route will be within the limits of 50...100 kg/m and this is equal to the quantity of material for a one standart rail of the common railway.
Vehicles will easily achieve the speed of 300...500 km/h due to the high directness of the rail-string (it has no deflections and joints along its length) and its dynamic rigidity, that is ensured by both constructional decisions and technological techniques.
The electric engine with the power of 100 kW will provide the speed of 300...350 km/h for a ten-seat vehicle; the power of 200 kW - 400 km/h, of 300 kW - 500 km/h.
STS has a high carrying capacity: up to 500 thousend passengers a day or up to 500 thousend tones of cargo per day.

 Main advantages of the wide usage of STS

1. Planetary ecology

    1.1 The consumption of the non-refillable resurses (oil, coal gas, metal ores, non-ore materials) will decrease due to:
      the STS route structure requires little materials;
      no digs, embankments, bridges, viadusc and other facilities requiring large amounts of the resurces are needed;
    1.2. The environmental pollution wiil decrease due to:
      • usage of the most clean type of energy - electrical;
      • low level of the energy consumption per unit (5-6 times lover in comparison with am automobile);
      • accurate development of vulnerable ecosystems (thundra, jungles, swamped areas…);
      • possibility of using the ecologically clean alternative power production sources (wind, sun, etc.).
    1.3. The utilisation of the arable lands will be decreased because very small areas will be needed for the construction of the string tracks (less then 0.1 hectare/km, the same as for a walking path or a trail), at tlie same time it does not need embankments, tunnels, bridges or conduits, there is no need in cutting trees and demolition of buildings.

     2. Economy

    2.1. The long-term employment of the financial resources for the construction will be decreased because of:
      • low capital capacity of STS (the value of the finished tracks of STS will be about 1-2 US$ millions/km against 10-15 US$ for the high-speed railway);
      • fast repayment of the money spent (5-8) years;
    2.2. The price of the transport service will decrease and its safety, comfort and security will encrease;
    2.3. Integrational and co-operational processes in the economy and between them will become faster and stronger;
    2.4. There will be no need in building of separate elestric and communicational lines (including optical) because they can aesily be combined with the STS track;
    2.5. The opportunity for the creation of global high-speed STS infrastructure in the short terms (10-15 years) will appear, this must create multiplicatory effect for the other brunches of industry.

    3. Society

    3.1. The communicativity wil rise;
    3.2. Will be provided the responsibility of:
      • using the remote employment opportunities without changing tha place of living;
      • creation of the steady habitable zones in the borders of the footwalk reachibility of STS;
      • non-interfering with the normal life and habits of people in the sphere of transport services (i.e. possibility of moving to a remote location with a personal authomobile for an affordable price);
    3.3. Transportation using the STS transport module as a personal car at lower costs will individualise.
    3.4. Accidentivity of the other transportation sources will decrease due to carrying of the part of the passengers and cargo by STS (every year about 200000 people die and more then 1 mln. become invalids on the highways only);
    3.5. Protection of the transport-energetical system and the systems of communications against natural disasters and acts of terror thanks to the intensity of the elements of operations and controle of STS.
