As a child I was pupil at the only Nikolai-Gastello-School of Eastgermany. Gastello is or was quite famous because of his airplane suicide attack in the beginning of the second world war. I came here to know more about some details of his fate and his death-place which is situated in Belarus.

I collect information and maybe I will make a homepage about that topic. His death-place is situated near the village of Dekshany at the Molodechno - Radoshkovichi highway/railway. There is a monument or something like that. I tried to find it with Google Maps but it didn't work. Would like to be able to locate it att Google Maps. And I'm very interested in any information or picture about that site.

You should also know that there is an alternative version of Gastello's death. According to it, we did not crash his plane into German tanks. Instead, his plane was hit and it crashed into swamps.
