BELARUSKALI combine is produsing on the base of Starobinskij ore mine of potassium chloride. It is located 130 km southerly from Minsk. Starobinskij place of occurrence has been opened in 1949 and it is regarded as one of the largest ore mine in the world. Potash chloride reserves satisfy explotation for many years. The great depth of deposition of potassium chloride (from 300 up to 1000 m) determinates the digging of the ore by mining. The ore digging is provided with high mechanised hydroassembly.

By the sistem of undergraund conveyer belts the mined out ore is transported to the shaft, from where it goes to the surfase by means of lifting gear for grinding and further treatment in the enrichment factory by flotation and fractional crystalization. The substance of the flotation method used for the potassium chloride producing is based on the process of potassium chloride solution from the ore at the temperature +120 grad of C with the reflux and its following crystallization at the cooling. Fractional crustallization is based on the vafourable solubility relationships. Potassium chloride is much more soluble at elevated temperatures than at ambient temperatures in solutions that are satureted with sylvinite and halite
