It was in the night, that an ambulance delivered Dasha A., who will be three years old in February, to clinic No 1 in Minsk. The girl had chloramine poisoning, and chemical burns of her stomach and esophagus.

This barbarous cruelty had been committed by the girl’s mother, 25 years of age, who did not deny her guilt during the investigation. She fed her baby with poisoned soup, but, luckily, the girl had taken only a spoonful of it.

Investigation is still under way, but the woman has been already charged with "inflicting serious corporal damage through carelessness". The woman, who has another, eight-months-old boy, was released by police in her own custody. They do not exclude, that she should be checked by psychiatrists.

Her own explanation was that she had had a quarrel with her mother that day. She wanted to pay the old woman back in full and, in addition, to become the owner of the flat. So she devised the following plan: first, to poison the girl, then to accuse the grandmother of it, so that to have her imprisoned. The explanation doesn’t sound quite sound, for the poisoner called both ambulance and police herself.
