Minsk -Taibei: let interpreters have a rest...
'Minsk and Taibei become closely connected by the
traditions of friendship and hospitality' - said
vice-president of the fund Alexander Chebotarevskii, '-
Art and culture is the bridge which helps us to learn
each other better. The
present visit of the delegation to Minsk is symbolic as
it precedes the Days of Taiwan in Minsk which is going to take place this autumn.
The exhibition of the works of professor Huang Kuan-nana
a famous Taiwan artist who also manages the largest
historical museum has a little prehistory .The
negotiations about its organization began long ago during
the visit Jurii Karachun director of the National Art
museum to Taiwain.Though the real art doesn't know any
lim Before the grand opening of the exhibition the first guests observed quite an exotic situation. The words of Taiwan artist first were interpreted into English by the head of Taibei Mission then from English into Russian by an interpreter .Later the artist invited everybody to the exposition where no interpreters were needed . They could have a rest . Jurii Svyatokum. Photo from the archives.
