Alexander Lukashenko: "Thank for Your Work, Corn-Producers!" (September 16, 1997)

The President os Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the town of Mosty, Grodno region, on 4 September & took part in the Harvest festival - 97. The Head of the state was accompained by the Prime Minister of the country Sergei Ling & other members of the Government.

Alexander Lukashenko made a speech on the the square of the town in front of the inhabitants & the guests of the town. He admitted that Belarusian peasants have always been very hardworking & persistent. The situation in our republic this tear proved that we've preserved these qualities.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed his particular gratitude to the farmers, to everybody who worked hard to culticate the crops. Alexander Lukashenko also thanked the guests from Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine & many other countries for their coming to the festival & called them to unite into one power which once was a powerful state.

Having finished the ceremony on the square of Mosty Alexander Lukashenko took part in the opening of the medicinal establishment in the village Rogoznitza of Mosty region.

During the sekond part of the day Alexander Lukashenko talked to the winners of republic competition in harvesting & took part in the ceremony of praising for the hard work in the cornfield.

After the celebration in honour of the winners a gala perfomance was organizes. Belarusian variety stars, folk group from our republic & abroad took park in it.
