In Prisoner's Clothes to The Meeting . (02.09.97)

More than one thousand people came to Bandalor square in Minsk to express their protest against arrest of Pavel Sheremet a journalist from ORT. Sheremet`s mother made a speech at the meeting She thanked everybody for having come to the meeting to support her son . Slavomir Adamovich recited his poems at the meeting .Then he performed a symbolic action of getting his lips shut with the help of a pin. Once he was arrested for his illegal poems. Some of the present at the meeting were wearing prisoner's clothes These mostly were the people who happened to spend not a single day in the prison. When the meeting was over people left the square one by one at 2 p.m. sharp. No incidents happened.
