Victor Gonchar was officially warned

On the 13th of February belorussian KGB in compliance with the law "On state security organs of Belarus" officially warned Victor Gonchar that his actions are inadmissible.

Lately KGB checked the activity of Victor Gonchar. It is known that on January, 10 the deputies of 13th Supreme Soviet who didn't recognize the results of 1996 year referendum decided to appoint the presidential elections in the republic on May, 16 this year. Gonchar showed great activity in forming non-legitimic election committee and in preparation for elections. He worked out a plan of the campaign which was published by opposition mass-media. Now he turned to its realization.

The KGB check showed that Gonchar's activity provokes destabilization of the political situation in the republic and can lead to a crime provided by the article 61, part 1 ("Plot aimed at state power usurpation") of Belorussian Criminal Law.

In connection with Gonchar was officially warned and told that activity of that kind can lead to crime and will be legally prosecuted.
