Virtual Bit Arrays

The set of working procedures with virtual bit arrays was realized in LeoBase to provide the selected records concept, to speed up the operations of search in several fields. Thanks to them LeoBase provides such a high speed of obtaining request results in data search. Virtual bit arrays (VBA) are tuned to maximally possible bit number to optimally use the rendered memory. After opening the database complex the whole VBA mechanism is tuned in such a way to address database record with maximally possible number. In such an array each element is unique. On the whole, this mechanism is also separable from LeoBase and can be used with quite different aims.For example, VBA can be presented as an integer array with unique values. It's also important that in such arrays the memory is used quite optimally. Besides, the set of operations with bit arrays is widened very much. In particular, we introduced the set of operations with single (set in one) bits, functionally complete set of logical operations with bit arrays (boolean AND, OR, NOT, SUB) and many others.
