In order to enroll to the univercity you should:

• Have the secondary education completed and sertified.
• To hand in an application to the enrollment comission enclosing:
• the application itself (form available in the enrollment comission);
• the secondary education sertificate (original);
• 6 photoes 3x4 cm;
• your passport;
• you can also enclose the documents, prooving your special talents (i.e. school olimpiads diplomas, sertificates of additional degrees taken etc.).
• Have pass the following entering examinations:
• Belarusian language and literature or Russian language and literature (for your choice) - written (composition);
• mathematics;
• foreign language (means English or German or Spanish or French) for your choice.

The exams can be taken in Belarusian or Russian languages.

The marking system is (descending): "5", "4,5", "4", "3,5", "3", "2". The mark "2" means, that you have nit passed the exam, so you may be free till the next year.

In order to be included into the number of students of BSEU you have to get the total mark (M(total)=M(maths)+M(for.lang)+M(Rus.)) big enough to compete with the other applicants for the limited number of study places.

The level of the usual M(total) needed for enrollment varies largely from faculty to faculty as well as the difficulty of the exams whoch are the most difficult on the Internetional Economic Relations Faculty. Observe the year 1996 statistics for more information.

The bug of the system is that it works only for the students who want to study free of charge. Those, who don't want to or have no right to get the payment for their education from the republic's budget (foreigners except Russia and the countries, that have concluded special agreements with Belarus) can apply for the "commercial" education. In fact, all the students study together and get the same diplomas, but the supply of study places here is so high that the competition is usually being concidered a formality. Usually you simply have to have all the exams passed (don't get too calm - you never know the competition for shure).

The prices for this year are:

• $720 for International Economic Relations andRegional Management faculty;
• $600 for all other;

(please check up the prices with the enrollment comission).

Accomodation in the univercity dormentary will take you about $70 a month including food (probbably less if you won't eat too much).

All the rules of enrollment are quite encommon for all Belarusian univercities (except the prices and the exams list) and have much incommon with those in Russia.
